Wine Tasting. Team Challenge.

I have been involved with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America ( http://www.ccfa.org/ ) for about 7 years now. I have raised about $5,000 total for the walks and the half marathon in Las Vegas this past December. I LOVE the organization and it has helped me in more ways than I ever thought possible.

This week I had the opportunity to take part in an appreciation night for people who have been involved in one way or another with Team Challenge Arizona.  Please take a minute and check out their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/tcarizona

Here are some photos and FYI...the delicious cupcakes were made by Nicole who writes a drool worthy food blog at http://www.foodiemisadventures.com/

Downtown

Downtown Phoenix is pretty new to me, but I am loving what I have seen so far. The Roosevelt Row area reminds me very much of Portland and is full of unique shops, restaurants, coffee shops and of course people. I spent a warm weekday evening exploring with my newlywed Curry friend and here is some of what we saw.

Valley of the Sunflowers

I went to a potluck on Sunday night in the middle of downtown Phoenix surrounded by sunflowers. Since I am fairly new in town, this was a great way to introduce me to all that downtown offers. It was perfection! Read more about the group that put this together on their Facebook page.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

I first tried stand up paddleboarding last September and LOVED it. I didn't think it was possible, but I liked it even more the second time. It is a very peaceful way to get outside, enjoy nature and get a workout!

First Friday. Round Two.

Another First Friday on the books. My friend, Danyale, had her artwork displayed for the first time!

Curry Wedding. Part Two.

More photos from the beautiful Petaluma wedding!

Piestewa Peak (Squaw Peak)

I'll admit that I was afraid to do this hike because all I heard was "outdoor stairmaster" everytime it was mentioned.  It wasn't a lie.  But every since the first time, I've been doing it weekly.  And with these views, who wouldn't?

Charlotte

Baby Charlotte is here! Here are a few photos from our visit.  Can you tell how proud big sister Ottilia is?

Graduation.

I met Jackie a few weekends ago through Miss Tillie because she needed some graduation photos taken. She was a total blast. Once we started talking, we didn't stop until we got to our cars. Isn't she beautiful?
